I love it, Pence is the man, it’s great to see people are starting to notice the potential he has for a 2012 presidential run. He’s a strong conservative and even more importantly, he is electable… Conservative activists on Saturday picked Rep. Mike Pence (R-Ind.) as their choice for president in 2012. Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin — who was the vice presidential candidate on the unsuccessful 2008 GOP ticket — was voted the pick for vice president in 2012. Palin, who has helped conservative candidates storm the national election scene, was awarded the VP spot because Pence also won the vice presidential straw poll. Tony Perkins, the head of the conservative Family Research Council, announced the results of the straw poll at the annual Values Voter summit in Washington on Saturday. Rest here> > >

Here’s a screen shot I took of the USTREAM live feed (more HERE ): How do they figure only ‘tens of thousands’ attend? Politics Daily : Beck said what was happening at his rally had nothing to do with politics “and everything to do with God.” The crowd — tens of thousands, many clutching American flags — spilled from the Lincoln Memorial all way down to the Washington Monument. “Something that is beyond imagination is happening,” Beck said. “America today begins to turn back to God.” Former Alaska Gov, Sarah Palin also spoke, as the “mother of a soldier.” The event was billed as a “Salute to Veterans” and Palin’s son Track served in the U.S. Army in Iraq. Palin said she felt the “spirit” of Martin Luther King Jr. “We must not fundamentally transform American as some would want us to do,” she said. On a comfortable, sunny day in the nation’s capital, the predominantly white crowd soaked it all up and occasionally broke into change of “USA. USA.” Organizers had a permit for a gathering of 300,000, the AP said.

She’s right. There’s not enough of us here and we know the alternative to Brown is going to be much, much, much worse… (The Hill) – Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin (R) said Wednesday evening that Massachusetts Sen. Scott Brown (R) might not face a primary challenge like other GOP lawmakers who have voted with Democrats. Palin has backed a number of candidates in congressional races this cycle who are favorites of the Tea Party movement. One of her beneficiaries, Joe Miller, leads Alaska Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R) in the state’s Senate primary with vote counting still underway. But Palin suggested Brown might not face the same type of scrutiny. “That’s Massachusetts and perhaps they are not going to look for such a hardcore constitutional conservative there, and they are going to put up with Scott Brown and the antics there,” she said Wednesday evening on Fox Business Network. “But up here in Alaska and in so many places across the U.S., where we have a pioneering independent spirit and an expectation that the representative in D.C. will respect the will of the people and the intelligence of the people; we wouldn’t stand for that.”
